2023 marks another year of innovation for RMB/ENERGIE GmbH as we expand our offering to include the flexibility of different gas types and introduce bi-fuel technology for our neoTower® CHP units. This advanced feature allows users to choose between different fuels depending on availability and price, providing seamless adaptability for the operation of the neoTower®.

RMB/ENERGIE GmbH now also offers the function of grid backup operation in connection with an electricity storage system for all neoTower® combined heat and power units – in line with the energy transition.

The neoTower® 9.5 was presented this year. The newly developed CHP unit is based on a 3-cylinder engine from YANMAR and delivers 9.5 kW electrical and 22.7 kW thermal output.

RMB/ENERGIE and YANMAR are growing even closer together. A new company logo now also visually underlines the affiliation. The new corporate design now runs through all areas of the company.

RMB/ENERGIE is celebrating its 10th company anniversary this year and employs over 90 people at this time.

In April 2018, RMB/ENERGIE began building a new logistics hall with an integrated office wing. The approximately 400m² warehouse includes a multi-storey shelving system as well as the logistics office including goods receipt and goods issue. The office wing covers around 350m² and offers ten offices and various social and meeting rooms for up to 30 employees.

Global innovation at the SHK: With the neoTower® LIVING, RMB/ENERGIE supplies the first cogeneration unit for family homes. With an electrical capacity of 2.0 kW it is ideal for use in homes accommodating one or two families.

RMB/ENERGIE currently has a workforce of 70.

At the beginning of the year RMB/ENERGIE moved into the new production facilities in Ramsloh. The company celebrated their inauguration with a “New Year’s Reception 2015“. The 175 invited guests from the world of politics and industry included Franz-Josef Holzenkamp, Member of the Bundestag, and B.KWK Vice President Prof. Dr. Martin Maslaton.

The globally operating Yanmar Group acquired a majority holding in RMB AG. The goal is joint development of cogeneration units with Yanmar engines and continuing market leadership in the micro-CHP sector.

At the ISH Frankfurt 2015 the first exclusive cogeneration unit with a Yanmar engine was presented with the designation neoTower® Premium M+. This cogeneration unit is available with an electrical capacity of 25.0 kW and 30.0 kW.

At the Hannover Messe trade fair in 2014, RMB/ENERGIE introduced the latest member of the neoTower® family – the neoTower® 50.0. A completely new software was also developed at the time for this cogeneration unit that makes CHP control, monitoring and operation even more efficient and simpler. Due to the increasing demand for the premium RMB/ENERGIE cogeneration units, the company was forced to relocate to a site that did justice to the company’s growth. The production facility footprint no longer met these needs.

In the summer of 2014, RMB/ENERGIE acquired a 1.1 hectare site with two halls on the main road in Saterland-Ramsloh. Another hall was erected and comprehensive conversion work (administration, production, state-of-the-art test benches) was carried out.

In the spring of 2012, the performance range of the neoTower® was extended by two additional electrical capacity performance classes of 16.0 and 20.0 kW.

At the end of 2011, the neoTower® with its revolutionary space-saving design and an electrical capacity of 5.0, 7.2 and 11.0 kW was launched. Production of the “Silence Complete” was then discontinued.
